Harvey is a real-life rocket scientist and data scientist with over 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence, blockchain and other disruptive technologies. He is a strategist, innovator and thought leader with practical and in-depth knowledge of applying AI and machine learning for clients in the public, private and charity sectors. He is currently pioneering the use of AI in EY’s tax business.
Harvey is an accomplished writer and public speaker, winning the 2017 MCA Award for the best use of thought leadership for his research into the future of work.
Harvey provides expert, impartial advice to the Technology Advisory Panel for the Office for Tax Simplification in HM Treasury and the Technology Advisory Group of the EY Foundation. He is a former member of the Open Data User Group, the Public Sector Transparency Board and the Advisory Committee to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on AI. He is an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at Cass Business School, appointed for his contributions on AI and future skills for the fourth industrial revolution.
Harvey lives in the South Downs National Park with his wife and two sons.
