Presentation Cyber Hack
CS Cyber Security

Why send a phishing email when you can simply hack someone via LinkedIn? This story proves that people are far more likely to be phished over LinkedIn than email – and even polite with it! It highlights how cyber criminals work in an ever changing threat landscape and that good old fashioned social engineering works a treat on the right person or company. I will tell the story about how I got the CEO of a company to give me his email password and he couldn’t wait to give it to me. All I had to do was ask. (No one was harmed in the making of this story).

What you will takeaway from this session:

  • How not to get phished - hook, line and sinker
  • What to look for in a targeted phishing attack
  • How social engineering is a hacker’s best friend
